Composition of SOMNUX:
According to the European Medicines Agency assessment report EMA/HMPC/143183/2010, lavender (Lavandula angustifolia Mill.) acts as a sedative aid and promotes sleep. Studies have shown that when you use lavender before going to bed, you feel more alert and energetic the next morning, and lavender has a beneficial effect by prolonging the phase of light sleep and shortening the phase of restless sleep, or rapid sleep (REM - rapid eye movement). At the same time, lavender prolongs the time of waking up following the first falling asleep (especially important for people with restless sleep).
The sedative and anxiolytic properties of California poppy (Eschscholzia californica L.) have been proven in several preclinical studies. By using this herb, an increase in sleep time and a decrease in motor activity (restless sleep) during sleep are observed. The Committee on Herbal Medicinal Products (HMPC) and the European Medicines Agency (EMA) have concluded that California poppy can be used to relieve mild symptoms of mental stress and as a sleep aid.
L-Tryptophan reduces the time it takes for people who have mild insomnia or who take a long time falling asleep, to fall asleep successfully. Several laboratories have proven the positive effect of L-tryptophan on quality of sleep. It is essential to note that, when using tryptophan, no effect on next-day alertness has been found, which is a problem with conventional sleep aids.
Calcium is directly related to the sleep cycles. Sleep disorders, specifically a lack of REM deep sleep or disturbed REM sleep, are associated with calcium deficiency. Calcium helps the brain to use the amino acid tryptophan to produce the sleep-inducing substance melatonin. In the case of prolonged calcium deficiency, insomnia, difficulty falling asleep, poor sleep and frequent awakening are observed. At the same time, a close relationship should be mentioned between vitamin D levels and calcium levels, namely, calcium levels regulate the formation of the deep sleep phase, while the functions of vitamin D include intestinal calcium transport and bone mineralisation, which are essential for calcium homeostasis.
Insufficient levels of vitamin D are associated with poor quality of sleep and short sleep duration. Vitamin D is involved in regulating the sleep-wake cycle. Sleep disorders in the case of vitamin D deficiency may be related to altered calcium levels.

SOMNUX is a food supplement registered by the Food and Veterinary Service (FVS) of the Republic of Latvia, for more info refer to Food Supplement Register
The recommended daily intake is 2 capsules. We recommend using 2 capsules once a day 30 minutes before night rest with a glass of water or a cool drink. Do not chew. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake.

1) Can SOMNUX be taken together with other food supplements or medicines, such as sleeping pills containing melatonin?
No, Somnux is not intended for use in combination with other sleep medicines.
2) If I feel unwell while taking SOMNUX, for example nauseous, what should I do?
If you experience nausea or any other unpleasant sensations while taking Somnux, stop taking it.
3) Will SOMNUX have an immediate effect?
The effects of Somnux are individual and depend on each person’s own body, medical conditions, medications, and other conditions, but the effects are usually felt within 15-45 minutes.
4) The recommended intake is 2 capsules before going to bed. What if I only take 1 capsule before going to bed?
Taking less Somnux than the amount indicated in the instructions may not give the desired effect, i.e., the quality of your sleep will be as usual. The recommended intake of two capsules indicated in the instructions is estimated as the effective daily dose.
5) If I cannot fall asleep after taking 2 SOMNUX capsules, can I take another 2 capsules within the same day?
No, the effective intake of 2 capsules is intended for use once a day, otherwise there is a risk of overdose. However, if you do not get the desired effect from two capsules, you should consider whether you have previously taken any sleep-inducing medication, as Somnux is a natural product that may not work after taking synthetic melatonin or prescription sleep-inducing medication. 6) Will I feel sleepy the next morning if I take SOMNUX?
No, thanks to the lavender in the formula, on the contrary, you will be awake. After taking Somnux, you will not feel sleepy or light-headed the next day.
7) Will I sleep so soundly after taking SOMNUX that I may not hear my alarm or wake up in the night to go to the bathroom?
No, using Somnux will improve both falling asleep and the quality of your sleep, reducing active movement phases and prolonging sleep time, but you will hear the alarm and feel the need to go to the bathroom.
8) Is it obligatory to consult a doctor before taking SOMNUX?
No, if you are not allergic to any of the active ingredients in Somnux. We recommend that you consult your doctor if you are taking any medication such as antidepressants or sedatives.
9) Can SOMNUX be addictive?
No, the active ingredients in Somnux do not cause addiction.
10) Can it be the case that I do not feel the effects of SOMNUX? Can this happen and why?
Yes, this can happen if Somnux is used incorrectly, for example by reducing the daily intake or if you are taking prescription medicines to help you sleep and replace these medicines with Somnux. Somnux may not give the desired results if you eat a large meal shortly before going to bed or if you are exposed to blue light (TV, tablet, smart phone, etc.) for a long time, as blue light and noise can reduce melatonin levels in the brain, causing insomnia.
11) Can SOMNUX be used together with other CLARIWELL products?
Yes, Somnux can be used with other Clariwell products.
