Rice with meat, mushrooms, cabbage and bell pepper

Rice combines very well not only with meat, but also vegetables, therefore it is not surprising that mixing of these ingredients result in a delicious meal.

INGREDIENTS

  • 400g meat (pork, lamb, beef, you can also try veal);
  • 400g rice;
  • 200g button mushrooms;
  • 500g fresh cabbage;
  • 2 bell peppers;
  • 1 litre of stock;
  • 1 onion
  • 1-2 garlic cloves;
  • 2 tablespoons of olive oil;
  • 1 teaspoon of red pepper;
  • Salt to taste

PREPARATION

Cut meat in cubes (approximately 3x3 cm) and fry in olive oil.

Add chopped onion, chopped cabbage, red bell pepper rings, mushrooms, salt, peppers and garlic.

Fry for 10-15 minutes, then put into a clay pot (depends on the pot size, possible 4 pcs.), pour in stock and place in a heated oven (180C-200C) for a half an hour.

Cook rice separately. There are two options: to use packed rice or boil loose rice. You can add salt to taste while the rice is cooking. When the rice is ready, place them in pots, mix with a fork to combine all ingredients and continue to bake for another 5-7 minutes in the oven.

If you do not have clay pots, you can use also large pottery tray.
